RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
100% Deposit required to confirm reservation. We do not "hold" reservations. You will receive written confirmation.Having made a reservation with The Bed & Breakfast Inn at La Jolla means you agree to our Terms and Conditions and authorize us to charge your Credit Card to guarantee the reservation. Thank you for choosing us.
PHOTO ID and CREDIT CARD
The SAME CREDIT CARD used to make the reservation and Government Issued PHOTO ID (e.g. Driver's License or Passport) are required at Check-In. A credit card and relative information will be taken for every reservation regardless of method of payment e.g. Gift Certificate etc. If not, the Reservation WILL BE INVALID AND NON REFUNDABLE.
Only one discount will apply to any one reservation and must be taken at the time the reservation is made.
GIFT CERTIFICATES/ COUPONS ETC.
Gift Certificates, Charitable Donation Certificates, Coupons etc. MUST be Presented at Check-In to be redeemed.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIME
No Early Check-Ins or Late Check-Outs / No Exceptions
Check-In 3:00-5:00 P.M./PST (Pacific Standard Time).
Check-In is between 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M./PST. If arriving later than 5:00 P.M./PST, it is your responsibility to call the Inn and make arrangements before 5:00 P.M./PST . Our front desk closes promptly at 7:00 P.M./PST. If arriving later than 5:00P.M. /PST, a $25 check-in fee may apply. It is advisable to indicate your arrival time at the time of making your reservation to facilitate the check-in process.
FRONT HISTORICAL BUILDING - ADULT ONLY
The rooms within the historic facility are "ADULT ONLY" and not appropriate or equipped to accommodate children under the age of 15 or any pets. If you are traveling with a child or animal please be mindful of the room descriptions, the rooms where children and pets are allowed are noted in the description. There are no refunds or exceptions to this policy if a room is booked in the front historical portion of the inn.
ANNEX BUILDING - CHILD AND PET FRIENDLY
The rooms within the Inn's annex building are child and pet friendly, allowing for 2 adults and 1 child per room.
Second floor accommodations are accessible via stairs- NO ELEVATOR available on premises .
EXCESSIVE NOISE OR DISTURBANCES
Guests generating excessive noise or bothering other guests will be asked to leave the Inn immediately without a refund.
100% SMOKE FREE INN
Smoking, or the use of Candles and Incense are not allowed in guest rooms or on patios or decks by law and for insurance and security reasons. Cost of damages and fines may apply. If violated, guests will be asked to leave the Inn immediately without a refund.
Our kitchen is capable of accommodating any and all dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian. Advanced notice of dietary restrictions is appreciated but not required. The standard daily three-course breakfast consists of 1st course buffet of granola, yogurt and milk, toasting station with jams, butter, cream cheese, and hard boiled eggs; 2nd course of a sweet or savory entree- chef selection - along with a side of ham, bacon, or sausage; and a 3rd course breakfast dessert, provides ample selection to meet most dietary needs.
OUR STAFF AND FRONT DESK DO NOT ACCEPT PACKAGES unless guest is available on-site to sign for their package.
Guests are responsible for excessive cleaning, damages, or breakage of the Inn's Property. Final Expenses will be based upon actual documented costs, plus any lost income. A minimal fine of $200.00 will be charged to credit card at time of damage. If damage or replacement is greater than $200.00 a final bill will be issued and additional charges applied to credit card.
Limited on-site parking (4 spaces) is first come, first served, and is limited to compact cars ONLY. No reservations for parking are available. Spaces are not sized to accommodate Trucks, Vans, or SUVs. There is on-street parking in front of the Inn with a 2 hour limit between 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Overnight and all day Sunday parking has unlimited time. There is also unlimited time parking on streets adjacent to the Inn. Please inquire about additional parking information/options available at the front desk upon your arrival.
USING GIFT CERTIFICATES, VALUE COUPONS ETC.
Gift Certificates, Charitable Donation Certificates, etc. cannot be redeemed for cash and are non-transferable.
You MUST indicate at the time you make the reservation if you will be using a Gift Certificate, Charitable Donation Certificate, Coupon, etc. Credit will not be applied once the Reservation is made. Discounts do not apply if using them to make a reservation.
ONLINE RESERVATION & THIRD-PARTY BOOKING AGENTS (e.g. BOOKING.COM)
We recommend that you reserve with us to receive the best rate, but you may use third-party agents such as Booking.com and Expedia. However, they are NON-REFUNDABLE and should you need to cancel your reservation, you must go back through their booking website. Additionally, if you reserve through a third-party, and there is a problem with your reservation, we have no way to contact you directly, only the online travel agent does.
Other than adding room nights - are subject to a $50 or 3% Modification Fee (whichever is greater).
- We understand that plans change, but as a small B&B with limited availability, we must enforce the cancellation policies WITHOUT EXCEPTION and cannot override the property management system. Travel Insurance is recommended to best protect your travel investment.
-THE SAME CREDIT CARD used to make the reservation along with PHOTO ID, such as a Driver's License, must be presented at Check in or the Reservation WILL BE INVALID AND NON REFUNDABLE.
- No Shows and Early Departures.
- Reservations made over Holidays, Special Events and their Minimal Night Stay Requirements.
- High Season - June, July, August, & September.
- Discounted Reservations, Specials, Reservations made using Value Coupons, and Gift Certificates other than those issued by us.
- Reservations that include Packages or Add-Ons.
- Reservations made through OTAs ( Online Travel Agencies- such as Expedia and Booking.com).
FOR ALL OTHER RESERVATIONS
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE "NON-REFUNDABLE" RESERVATIONS STATED ABOVE, in order to receive a refund less a cancellation processing fee of $50.00 or 3% of total stay (whichever is greater) for Reservations that qualify as "refundable", you must give notice prior to arrival dates as indicated below:
-Total of 1 room night requires 14 day prior notice
-Total of 2-4 room nights require 30 day prior notice
-Total of 5-7 room nights require 90 day prior notice
-Total of 8-10 room nights require 180 day prior notice
-Extended stays totaling 11 or more room nights require a contract. Call for details.
ONLINE RESERVATION & THIRD-PARTY BOOKING AGENTS (e.g. BOOKING.COM) CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations are non-refundable. (Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must go back through the third-party booking website.)
